Show Us Your Motors!

I should have cleaned it first, but here's a pic i took today:

After years of yearning for one, and searching/viewing for a few months, I finally bought, last Saturday:

2004 Toyota Celica in Storm Blue (looks almost black), 69k, £6.1k paid. Almost 4 new tyres, Parrot Bluetooth/mp3, but needs remote central lockign looked at (see a recent thread of mine ). Lift is WOW but not having felt it before, I'm not sure if it's optimum and doesn't feel always effective. As such I will check the lift bolts at some point. I've joined CCUK and picking up on a few simple mods/improvements worth doing.

Finally, out with the old, which is up for sale btw ;)

Well, I definitely agree that it would look better lowered, but I think I will give it a miss unless I have to change the suspension for other reasons. If I had to, it would be by 25mm using Eibach springs.

I posted this in the bike specific thread this morning but thought I would show it off here too...

I feel like one of the privelaged kids at school who had a car waiting for them before they passed their test, the only difference is that I have worked hard for it! I have my module 2 bike test next week.

Emphasis on 'looking' ;)

Paintwork is dull and scratched to ****. You can just make out the paint flaking off near the front wheel arch and if you look carefully you'll see a large chunk of that rear alloy missing :(

I just took it to an 'American soft car wash'
And it's the Olympus E-420 and lens that really make it look good :p

Very nice Ramirez, I can't believe you got it for £2400 either, these things are such a steal now, I would like another one myself really. Not instead of but aswell as my 5 though ...I just don't have the space :(

Very nice in that colour with the optional upgraded wheels.

Lift bolts shouldnt be a problem at that age, it was only earlier models, check oil levels.

Nice.

Spec?

UK 2.0L TSI GT DSG, so all the usual stuff in there (ACC, Dual climate control, High line computer, 18" Interlagos alloys etc etc) the first owner thankfully chose to have the parking sensors fitted so it works properly with the stereo head unit.

Cloth interior because we specifically wanted a cloth trim because myself and the wife both hate leather car seats (is that odd ?)

I'm trying to sort the cruise control out, its cheap to do but harder on a post week 45 2009 model as they changed the steering wheel set up
