Not bad for my first car :). I love her :p

2 weeks after buying the SLK, my dad changed his to an SLK 350 :(

It looks fab in white, but I've noticed some Mazda models are looking similar to this? Is it the Mazda 2 or Mazda 3?
How's the first few weeks gone running it in? Bet you can't wait to properly hoon it!

I think it's the new Mazda 3 which looks very similar from the front.

I forgot what a bore running in is, still it's a nice car to drive even when limited to 3000 rpm.

...only 400 miles to go.

:)

Just finished fitting new suspension and bushes all round. Car now has eibach springs, bilstein B4 dampers and the control arm bushes and rear axle mounting bushes have been replaced with polys. The biggest benefit by far has been a distinct lack of creaks, squeaks and groans along with a greatly improved ride.

Also fitted new silicon hoses & vacuum lines, new intercooler, replacement forge recirculation valve and some EBC yellowstuff brake pads too. Engine bay does look a tad grubby though and the camcover is in need of a repaint as it is beginning to flake off.

Fitted a stage 1 ecu on the 29th too, best part with that was it cost me a spare hankook tyre along with posting the ecu. I've still got a few jobs outstanding which are a set of HEL braided brake lines and motul RBF600 fluid which are in the shed waiting to be sorted. Hopefully i should be getting the rear anti roll bar sorted out soon too, which will help with turn-in. All this should be done by september, as i plan to track the car at castle combe on the ajec action day (11th).

Stuff which is in the pipelines is a steering rack brace, 3" downpipe and a stage 3 remap. After that, the turbo (a T25) will be limiting the performance. Will probably get a hybrid T25/28 built from a spare T25 when that happens.
