My little baby, had her since December 2009. Great fun to drive and pretty rare, think I've only seen one on the road since I've had it!

Looks nice - i can imagine these to be quite fun.

I don't think i've seen many of these at all either. Why didn't they sell very well? Taking a stab in the dark - were they very expensive to buy brand new for what is essentially a small car?

About 14k brand new, so not cheap...I picked mine up for 9.5k with 26k on the clock. You can easily get them for around 7k now with around 45k on the clock. Cheap to insure and run which I why I choose it over a Corsa Vxr, Clio Cup, Cooper S etc.

Stats aren't amazing but are fine for my requirements, 150 bhp, 0-60 in around 7.9 secs, 36 mpg (which I actually get).

I've read in lots of places a simple remap will get these straight up to 200bhp. Might do this, but would rather put the Audi TT brake discs on first.

If you mean't standard, in terms of specification - it's got quite a few extras

Will be quite a power difference between the mighty 335d and her Ibiza. The ST would quite a nice compromise plus I've been getting 36-39MPG over the last 600 miles on the motorway

Polo looks smart, really like it. Probably lots of fun in GTi trim too.

I don't get on with the looks of the facelift Focus but that ST does look good!

How do you find it? I love it to be honest. I've had a few problems mind you...So far over 1 1/2 years of ownership: Leaking radiator, failed alternator, faulty break light switch, failed coolant bottle. Maybe I've just been unlucky, must be some dodgy parts they sourced from Spain (where I believe the cars are made).

I got mine at a car auction in Bristol, as of yet I haven't had any problems.

That 1 series with all the performance range fitted is a 116i, I was going through this thread and about a year ago when he gets the car and he says he wanted it for better mpg compared to his old 3 series or something.
