Faster than the Clubracer?

Looks ace though! You'll have to forgive my ignorance, but is the K20 standard fit or is this a conversion?

It's not standard, it's a conversion done by a specialist, 4 or 5 different kits out there with this being one of the better 2 IMO.

The previous car was around 260 bhp and around 900-950kg and timed at 4.2 to 62 and mid to high tens to 100mph.

This is 300 bhp and around high 700kg to low 800kg, they are known to do 62 in under 4 seconds as have traction issues and 8.5 to 100mph.

The headline figures don't reveal the whole picture, the torque and in gear flexibility is jaw dropping as you don't need to thrash it to go fast!

The previous owner to the the bloke I swapped it with spent £25k on converting the car and upgrading the car to the current spec.

Air bags, abs, an extra oil cooler and hoses, air con and pipes, use of heavy steel fixings/brackets, sound deadening, hard top, intercooler + pipework.

Probably missed loads but they are the main ones I can remember.

That is stuff that the S2 Exige S has as standard, the car I've now got never had any of that stuff as bits like the abs and air bags weren't mandatory back in 2003.

The oil cooler is now behind one of the side pods/grilles and is deemed sufficient enough for the oil cooling requirements of the K20 on track.

wow there are some awesome cars you guys own, im driving a volvo v70 2.4 170bhp but i have 3 children to drive around, when the missus is working again ill be getting myself something smaller but with asmuch bag for my buck :)

That what I said when I first gave it some beans, the rev counter only goes up to 8K and the Honda revs past that and I was changing up at under 8k as I'm used to visually changing up before the end of the rev counter lol :p

Even a n/a K20 will walk away from a S2 Exige S in a straight line, the K20 is a much better engine.
