Show Us Your Motors!

I'm always a bit  when somebody registers on an internet overclocking forum purely to post photos of a car in Shows Us Your Motors :p

I registered last month when I was having some issues with the computer I built, I then found some useful information on the OCZ forum and it turned out to be an issue with drivers for the SSD.

I keep popping into the computer forums but don't usually have anything to add, however I do keep meaning to post some pictures of the PC just having taken any yet.

Got a bit bored yesterday and decided to post in the motoring forum.

Not new, had it for about 6 months now, but finally got round to taking a few photos of it as I might be putting it up for sale.

It's certainly a contender for my Monaro replacement. I'm currently looking at a C63 and an M3. I'm leaning towards the C63 more though as I like the slight muscle car look and feel of it.

My boss had a C63 a loved it, very usable car day to day and made a fantastic noise. Would have looked at one myself apart from the size it was just a bit small for what we wanted.

From the wheels and the exhausts thats a XKR so 5.0 v8 supercharged.

He did say it's an XKR. How do you tell the difference between the 4.2L and the 5.0L?

I have the same colour. How come you're selling it? Is yours a DCT or manual?

Rear light cluster is the facelift which came in with the 5.0L and the wheel design is the XFR and XKR 5.0L version, same as on mine which has Supercharged engraved around the bolts.

Front bumper will also be different but can't see it from that angle. Easiest way to tell from the interior is the gearstick. 4.2L has one the 5.0L doesn't it has the rotary dial.

I think it looks great in space grey there doesn't seem to be many of them about - I went with manual I could never get on with the SMG in the E46 although I probably should have tried the DCT. I'm looking to buy a V8V I've used the back seats in the M3 twice in the last year.

Took the XFR for its 1st decent run today down to the in-laws. 160 mile round trip consisting of mainly the M1, M25 then through Brentwood so a mix of road types. Must say the active cruise control is brilliant worked perfectly on the whole trip and especially through the road works. The car is very very quiet, and rides much smoother than the normally sprung XF we had before.

In terms of performance the acceleration is mind blowing, 40-80 happens so fast, even when you don't kick down any gears. 2nd and 3rd are insane if you use them and the engine makes an amazing noise.

Considering I was playing about a bit and still learning the car I returned an average of 29MPG for the journey and used just under 1/2 a tank which I'm rather please with.

They are insanely fast whilst sounding almost effortless. The ride is what amazes me, big 20 inch wheels and its smoother than most cars on big tyres

My MINI on 17s is comically appalling compared to it.

I managed 23MPG on a sensible drive home 20miles i know it will climb on longer runs. Not sure how the convert aero compares either to the XF.

The car has nearly done 7k with the average currently bang on 20MPG. Not bad in my book. Im doing a fair amount os passenger rides so its sat around 15 :D for my usage.

I think I woke some people up when I came out of the road works on the M1, I flicked into manual mode and dropped to 3rd which put the engine at about 3500 rpm and booted it, makes quite a bit of noise then :D

Got some new wheels on mine.
Could do with a refurb but they look ok as long as I keep them dirty :)
Also got a new set of EVO 9 alloys still in their boxes. Not sure what I'm going to do with those.
