Facelift...nice...shame it is a dagdag.
I was never a Mondeo person, bought mine (51 Zetec Peotrl) because it was a decent price for something comfortable and reliable. So far in 10months and ~12k it has cost me £30 for a new coil pack and £40 for a new AC compressor. It has probably been one of the best, most sensible purchases I've ever done...I'm so bored of it.
Agree it's a shame, but have done a smidge over 40k miles in 2 years of ownership, so it's probably been worth it!
All it's had in that time is tyres and servicing.Next year I'll have moved closer to work, so it'll probably get replaced with a MK4 petrol Mondeo!!

You wouldn't get ripped to pieces if you just posted your car, said a few comments about it and then left it at that. You go on and on and then you go on and on about Mate 1's car and then on and on about Mate 2's car and then your Dad's Jag however nice it is.
No one else does this and therefore don't get ripped for it.
Gibbo did once when we had the 30-70 mph thread. Only reason I remember that was because I was in awe at how fast his Mustang was.

But some people's attitudes are sad. If one wants to show off their passion for a car, whether it's their A1 or their friend's Bugatti Veyron, they can.
This isn't GD. There are no conflicting view points, there is no argument; simply one person's post. How ever much someone dislikes it, saying "no one cares" etc, is just creating an argument.
Personally, when Blackhawk mentioned his mate was getting a V10 R8, I was intrigued, happy for him, and I took on board as information. Nothing more.
But when someone says "no one cares" to your mate buying an R8, or whatever other enviable item it may be, it instantly raises the thought that that person has something against his mate buying a sportscar, ie. jealousy.

Seriously? Of course there are. It's what makes the forum decent most of the time. If there were no conflicting viewpoints there would be no discussion and no debate in threads.

The "no one care" refers to...so what?
As in there are hundreds of people in the country buying exotic cars. Someone somewhere is buying a Ferrari 458 but we don't get to share that because that person isn't here to tell us about it.
We all can be happy for the new owner, but it would be impossible for us to ask anything like "what is it like to drive" because the owner isn't here.

Somebody on here buys an XYZ: Some people will be jealous. Some will think its awesome. Some will want more info. Some will want to discuss. Some will want pics. Some will want to praise. Some will criticise. Some will ask why. Thats how it works.
Somebody who isn't on here buys an XYZ: Err..
It does depend on context though - if somebody on here was looking at buying a particular car and asked for advice, it would have course be hugely useful for a post to be made saying 'My mate has one, he reckons ABC, it costs him XYZ' etc.
