I doubt that very much. In fact I'll just say not a chance in hell.
It'll never get the power down to do that, a 300bhp RS with it's trick diff and suspension can only manage 5.9.

No - its utterly possible. They have an excellent power to weight ratio as they are made mostly out of Papier-mâché, tinfoil and cheese.
I've done 5.5s 0-60 in my 300bhp Fiat Coupe, timed with a Racelogic vbox
A little lighter then an Astra (1310kg vs 1393), and LSD does help a lot too, yes. Also the torque is quite a lot lower, 280lb/ft in my case, which makes things a bit easier. It was more of a response to the people saying about how FWD won't go much below 6s.
An LSD a proper mechanical one like you have makes a huge difference. Intact putting an LSD in a powerful FWD car is one of the best upgrades you can do. Quaife TBD units can probably be got for about 1k.
But stating an Astra even with 300BHP is as quick as an M3 is just not true.
Its like me saying my car is faster than an R35 GTR because when I booted my car he could not keep up for the 5 seconds I was in the loud pedal. The detail I need to add is I was in 2nd gear and ready, he was in 4th and not quite as ready,as such not equal at all. Reality is my car is nowhere near as quick as a GTR.
Looks nothing like a micra...?
Trolls will be trolls I suppose.
An e46 M3 (340 odd bhp) v a 300 odd bhp Astra would be fairly close on the road (as in the M3 wouldn't pull away like the Starship Enterprise) but I'd imagine on a track it would be a different story.
Either way I'd take a RWD car over a FWD car any day of the week with that sort of power.
Looks more like a Fiat 500 to be fair.
It is one of those awkward sorts of cars in that if you don't mind the running costs then you probably have more money to spend on a car than it was worth. As such it probably isn't going to sell quickly.
Looks nice, why not the Clio?
