I am under no delusion that I couldn't have got more by selling it privately but I was happy to take less for the car for the convenience of shifting it quickly and without me spending my limited free time dealing with the people that it would have attracted. Plus rightly or wrongly I wouldn't have been comfortable selling it privately due to a few issues that it had.
TBH I would do the same again if I found myself in the same position... although putting it in on the night of the Olympics opening ceremony might have been a bit of a tactical error as there were about 30 cars less than usual and it was very quiet for a Friday night
As for the price... as you seem to think I'd have got hundreds more by selling it privately why don't you tell me what you think I got for it
