Do like the Mazda3 tbh, was looking at them on autotrader again today.

I personally prefer with Heko deflectors than without any at all.

Agree on the wheels, Rotas :p or something less factory looking.

I liked my first-gen one but I don't think I could get along with the interior on the second-gen, it all just looks a bit stuck-on and the two different screens showing different information is pure lazy design. Some of the later 1.6s with nav have three.

Also a shame that the MPS is the only one that gets the bi-xenons, looks far nicer from the front because of them.

I have looked into getting the mps headlights.
Unfortunately they cost near 500 for lights and the rest of the kit :(

Bought two months ago, 08 Edition 30 manual 5 door 2.0 TFSI. Main differences over a stock GTI is the K04 turbo charger which is used in the Audi S3, which is detuned down to 232bhp, so shifts well enough.

Looks fantastic, love that shape Golf. Need to up my budget so I can get one!

Mate has an '08 R32 that I long for every time I pass it in the car park

Hard to think those are 10yrs old, the design still looks so modern.

Its brilliant, looked at Astras & Focus but they seemed so basic looking and bland compared to the Civic, love the display and console. Mainly for the other half, 2nd car so a step up from a 1.2 60BHP Punto, the 1.8 is a brilliant engine, sounds good too! 140bhp so just a tad quicker than the Punto :p

Oh and it was a bargain..

Fiesta looks epic  by far the best colour for the ST. I'm so tempted to sell my 2006 Focus ST and get one of these on a 2yr lease

Thanks :) if you are tempted it'll probably work out cheaper to buy through Drive the deal and hand it back after two years with the discounts you get off list.

Noticed quite a bit of Mazda 3 attention, figured I would throw mine into the mix, complete with black alloys, wind deflectors & a CF aerial to top it off;

I'm in love.

The mps is such a nice car.
Next year I will be shopping my 2.2d in for an MPS. Twin exhaust just looks the dogs!

I think the best car we had was a Citroen XM, we had a hatchback(2.1 TD) and a estate(2.5 TD).We had the estate for years, but had to scrap it as all the electrics were failing. thats the french for you, shoddy electrics.

I Think the hatchback looks nicer then the estate, and it picks up speed quicker too. Apparently not many XM's sold, so after a few years they stopped making them. I think the XM was the daddy of citroen cars and maybe still today, even though its not in production anymore.

Here a random XM hatchback pic from the net

Did they have a suspension that raised when the ignition was switched on? I'm sure some guy by mine had one when I was a kid. What was the point in it?

Yes, hydraulic suspension. it was to give it a smoother ride and great for toeing, as it maintained the proper ride hight when weighted down at the back. Also it came in handy if you came across a flood, as you could raise the car up passed the normal hight.
