One for dogs, one for cats, I figure why not one for the more obscure, or commonplace but under-appreciated pets? Bring out your rodents, your birds, your insects, your lizards and amphibians and big, hairy spiders!

I've shared some of mine before, but since we've got a brand new thread and all I might as well lump them all together.

Two of our rabbits, Mildred is the black and Uther the lop=eared... I don't know what colour you'd call that, but the desert camo-looking fella :p

That'll be Philip, a very fluffy,long-haired something or other. I don't have a good photo of his pen-mate, Captain Sal - just imaging Mildred with floppy ears and a whole lot more belly.

All four were rescue rabbits - not like Rescue Rangers, unfortunately, they came from a rehoming centre.

All seven birds in one image! A remarkable feat, considering how much they run around. The grey on the far left is Gary - she's a troublemaker. Around the food bowl you can see Beatrice (white), Cynthia (beige) and Clara (black). The bigger duck is Gaddafi and the smaller one is Priscilla, Queen of Ducks. Just behind Beatrice's head you can see Claudia - she's a little puffy ball of fluffy grey feathers that bounces when she runs, lays eggs less than an inch high and very much enjoys chasing our two border collies around the garden.

A slightly better shot of Claudia. She's not doing anything weird with her head, that's just how fluffy her feathers are. If you see her feet, she looks like she's wearing Ugg boots. She's fallen in the duck bath twice and when she's soaking wet with her feathers flat down she's about the size of a grapefruit.

I find chickens hilarious :p Neighbours have them and I always laugh when I hear them rustling around in the garden and making their usual noises ;p

Aye, gives me a chuckle when one of them hops about in a flower pot to scratch around for bugs. Gary jumped over the crossbar of the swing seat and jumped to snatch a spider off the wall the other day, endearing her to no end with my girlfriend :)

Chinchill0rz:

Chu - sadly died on New years eve 2009 :(

Roobarb and Custard - 'replacements' after Chu - crazy boys

Stitch - my first and still going strong!

All were rescue chinchillas, amazing how many of these little balls of fluff become unwanted very quickly.

You're lucky to have so much room for them.

Aye, we've got a pretty big garden aside from the pen we keep them in. They get let out most days to scratch around the grass and they love burrowing in the dead vegetation under the trees at the back of the garden. The plums were pretty poor this year so they got a bunch of those that fell off early, as well as a few apples and pears that came down before we got to them :)

och that didn't work Ive just signed up for image shack Ive uploaded the images but how do I post pics here any help much appreciated
