Show us your tyre treads

Some random twit who came to us a while ago, manufacturer unknown...

...loved the 'baby on board' carp in the back window...
:o

Every tyre on my car is odd lol. Got one Federal kerb protector on the front, rest are some unknown make :(

Least they are the right size and they are pretty grippy in the dry, but lethal in the wet

is that even legal? i thought tyres have to be the same on each axle, or is that just a recommendation..

Its just a recommendation. Personally I wouldn't mix and match tyres, but then with my driving style it really wouldn't be a good idea, as each corner of the car would behave differently.

I only put different tyre makes on the back, on the front I always replace the tyres in pairs so I get the same tread pattern and grip level, rather than have one full tyre and one tyre just above the limit.

My m8 mixed a new tyre with a worn tyre on the front cause it was still good for another month, and he let me borrow the car and the road was wet, the car was pulling like mad where the one tyre gripped and the other tyre was not gripping, quite a thrilling ride, though it was dangerous and not funny (not to me anyway with my life in his car handling)
