These days you get an @icloud.com domain when you sign up for an iCloud account but not so long ago that was different.

Prior to iCloud there was MobileMe with the @me.com domain and before that there was .Mac where you got an @mac.com email.

Basically, if you had a .Mac account you got grandfathered in to MobileMe and then again to iCloud. It also means you get automatic forwarding from each of these addresses I.e if you had [email protected] then sending an email to [email protected] or [email protected] would result in the email getting to you.

So,.. my question... who’s got an @mac.com email? I do and use it as my main account but it shocked me to find out that I’ve had it since 2006!

Yup, my primary account is officially .mac but when I first signed up, I didn't use the email originally so I've never given out anything other than the .me addresses.

Had dot Mac since 2005. iLife, PowerMac watercooled G5 days. :D

All these aliases now with:

@mac.com
@me.com
@icloud.com

Also remember homepage.mac.com?

Yep.

I've never used it though, it came bundled with the "welcome pack, sign up to redeem your extra warranty" when I bought my second Aluminium PowerBook in 2004
