Shower mixer deck mounted bath taps/thermostatic

Hey all.

Thinking of getting some bath shower mixer taps that are deck mounted as then its a straight swap compared to them wall mounted ones.

Be getting my brother to install em but i wonder about somit. Online theres thermostatic ones for 80 quid with a shower head and cord and looking at b&q there isnt any deck mounted ones on the website so i duno what the choice would be like instore if i visited. Similar to other such places. Also would they be cheap or just them 150-200 quid ones ive seen a few times?

Should i get the online one cos brother said not to incase it didnt fit or somit.

Also are thermostatic ones really that necessary. I have a combi boiler fitted last year and have about 1.4bar that i checked last night, anyhow do i need a thermostatic one or would a normal bath taps shower mixer one work as well, of course id need to adjust the hot and cold myself but how long does them ones take to get the temperature just right? Ive seen the normal shower mixer ones go for like 50-60 quid so could afford one of them if i cant find a thermo one for that price around my city locally. Just is it worth it.

I know, ill talk to my bro about it, there are a few other big places in town thats near b&q so might pop in there for a look.

Most places didn't do deck mounted ones and if they did they wanted hundreds for em which they can naff off lol when amazon and the likes can do em 80 quid ish.

Now is the question as to which one to buy and i need a 2 metre long hose i think as i tried the 1.5m ones in B&Q and there not good enough for a 6ft lad.

So ive seen the above ones that were posted. Anyone else know of any going at around that price with maybe some sort of brand attached or a definitely known 5-10 yr guarantee ones as i see the same one all over the web some say it has a guarantee on some dont so im confused a bit here as in which to pick.

Next ill be needing a 2mtr shower curtain rail, a shower curtain, some tiles some grout stuff and 2mtr hose length and a shower head as the ones that come with shower and hose neck are too short at 1.5mtr. Any recommendations for cheap but suit the job on these would be mint as well.

Also now considering non thermostatic ones cos i probs be ok with just being me in the house and all. Tho so many choices i duno what to go for, ideally 50-60 quid max for a non thermo one i guess?

Ended up buying a bargain on the bay. Bristan Bath Shower Mixer CAPRI. For 60 quid delievered, new and unopened. So if its genuine etc then i hope its a bargain as they usually sell for over 100. Decided against the thermostatic ones cos duno how long them things last and rather get somit that just works which yeah ill have to adjust the temp and flow myself etc but pff if millions of others can do it i can too.

Will need a longer hose for it tho, looked on amazon and a lot of diff choices i duno which to pick, any ideas? Somit 10 quid max maybe thats decent and 2m?
