Shower part help

Dear all,

The shower holder holder wotsit was sliding down a bit so I moved it up the guide rail to the desired height, turned the dial and it just snapped off. Now, aside from not knowing how to get it off for when/if I do find a replacement, I do not know what to ask for in a plumbing shop or search for online.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. AS you can see the showerhead is still stable but it's stuck at the bottom as I cannot tighten the wotsit to move it up.

It's part of the shower riser kit, assuming what you have there is plastic (as it snapped) it will probably be easier/cheaper to just by a whole new riser kit (which includes a shower hose/head), can be had for £15-30.

Excellent, I found plenty of these once I had the right search phrase (riser kit). Many thanks for your help, I was anticipating much higher cost.

Seems you have exactly the same equipment as me, even down to the tiles. wtf is this!

you can get a riser holder thingy off the bay for 5 quid in crome.

wow, this also happened to my shower today also, how random? I'm going to get a holder tomorrow.

Aye, I guess I don't need to replace the whole thing to match, would be a waste as it works.
