shredder help

Hi guys I've started cutting these bushes at the back of my garden and I brought a garden shredder (2rd hand) worked great for 15min and now I find the blades need sharpening, I cannot find anything in the manual or on their website ( well cannot find the shredder on sites at all).

Well I know how to sharpen mower blades,ect but not one of these blades its like a gog with blades on it, how would one do this?? take it to a shop or do it myself and what with?

I can take a picture of it if that will help but the make is gardentec silent shredder

A gog?

Got a model number, electric or petrol, better to take it to a garden machinery workshop & have it done
When I had mine, use to take it to a local firm I've used for years, they sharpened & balanced the blades.

No good, you need a proper garden machinery repair place to sharpen it.

Dam wish I did not have to as I don't have anywhere near me that can do it, I've just rang around and none of the garden places do it just normal blades.

Could I sharpen the blades like how I do it with mowers?

I phoned him and he said not many do the gog one so I will have to take it it to the shop for him to see it.

I will post back tomorrow once I get back as I'm too busy today to get the bus up there.

i tried filing but was just polishing it,

went today chap had a attitude but i was not there for long, it cost 7.50

Far too hard to file.

Does the shredder work any better now, blades look sharper.

no sure i popped into my moms after so i could not try it, i put the blades in so ill try it in the morning. ill get a better picture as well.
