Shrewsbury hospital is trialing a P&R from Oxon through SY hospital and on to centre of SY - I need to know does each bus go to the hospital both ways all day- if so I can get on another P&R the other side of SY -jump off in town then get Oxon P&R to hospital - It's like using it in reverse.
It would save me a load of stress driving around SY or through SY

So if anyone in Shrewsbury knows the answer please let me know before tomorrow.

Thanks

You can only park and ride if you park in the first place. It does not replace normal bus routes which are invariably more expensive.

Went into SY and had a word with one of the drivers - seem I can go from town to Oxon but pay for both ways -he said buy a £2.50 ticket and you can go to any P&R - So hoping for a nice driver for the Oxon run.
The Oxon does go into town as seen them when waiting at same stop for Harlescot.

Big tip for everyone - Do not grow old. Last Tuesday I was taken by ambulance to Telford hospital -got there at 9.35pm and walked out at 10.00am Wednesday. Spent 9hrs on those plastic chairs in waiting area and 2hrs in a dark room with some other patients on the most uncomfortable arm chair ever made.
Came out still not knowing what was wrong with me. Perhaps tomorrow we will find out.

@Hagar -hope you are wrong but it sounds logical. But I am still using a Park & Ride from the other P&R.

Sorry to hear of your episode and I have a horror of landing in A&E under similar conditions.

My experience of Shrewsbury park and ride at Harlescott is with people questioned on their eligibility due to not driving in to park and being observed walking across from the Tesco direction or up the road and getting on the bus into town.

All went as planned - A £2.10 day ticket lets you go on whatever bus you wanted - Harlescott to town centre -Town centre to Oxon P&R then jump on NHS free bus to hospital. If it had been a nice warm day it would have been nice.
Got to drive all the way to Hospital tomorrow just to hand in the heart monitor but won't need to find a parking space -just stop in drop off bay and get out before 20 min is up. :)
