Hi Guys,

I have a bit of a predicament! My main gaming machine I built last year appears to be a little too big for my new house :( So I'd like to consolidate it into a smaller ITX case. I already own a BitFenix Prodigy in Black, so I want this case to be the white version

Current build:
Corsair Graphite 600T (White)
Intel Core i7 2600k 3.4GHz
Asus P8P67 Pro R3 ATX Mobo
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz
Nvidia GTX 460 1GB
XFX 650W Modular PSU
120GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD
500GB HDD

While I'm at it, I may as well do a couple of upgrades. This is where you guys come in. I'd like to try my hand at overclocking! I've never done it, nor thought about doing it before but I'm sure I'll cope with reading through guides and videos etc.

Can you guys spec me:
- A cooler to do the job/will fit in the case
- New Mobo
- Possibly new GPU
- Recommend any other upgrades on my current system

Budget wise, I'll be selling the case/mobo/GPU as I'll have no need for them at all. plus whatever I can put on top - around about £250-£300 ?

Depends what I get for the parts really! sorry its very vague!

Thanks,

Indie <3

Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe £133

Corsair Hydro H100 Extreme £72.50

Then sell all your gear and depending on budget - 7850/70 or if you can a 7950

Yes it supports the h100, also the asus board is great for over clocking due to the extended vrm board.

Funny you recommended the Asus board. Its the one I have in my current Prodigy build, I just thought it was overkill... If its that good I'll just get another one ^^

In regards to the H100 - I'm assuming the double RAD would have to go at the front of the case? Not that i'm fussed about losing the HDD trays as there's another 2x below. Just want to make sure it fits!

The H100 rad does indeed fit at the front/roof of the case.

So I'd have...

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe (Socket 1155/Intel Z77.DDR3/S-ATA 600/Mini ITX) £159.98
1 x Corsair Hydro H100 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366/LGA2011/AM2/AM3) (CWCH100) £86.98
1 x BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Cube Case - Arctic White £64.99
Total : £311.95 (includes shipping : FREE).

Bit over budget without a new GPU... I suppose I could always continue to use the 460 for the time being...

sorry to bring this one back up again!... but in regards to overclocking my i7 - approx. how much could I OC it by? and with what coolers?

I'm just trying to work out my budget and wondering if the H100 is a tad overkill for what I'm going to be doing?

Also decided to go for the Gigabyte Z77N mobo. as currently have the Asus P8Z77I-D in my media PC, so i'll just swap them around. In effect I'll be putting the PC in the OP inside my Black BitFenix case, then put what is currently in there (other than mobo) - inside the white case... Swaparoonie!
