So I'm wondering how many of you use this now ubiquitous exclamation which sort of replaces "no way?!" when responding to a surprising statement or exciting news. Chavs usually don't pronounce the t. The other oft used one is 'stop it!'. I remember the days when saying shut up was telling someone to shut up.

Haven't people been using this for over a decade? Starting to feel OcUK is just a place for older people to ramble these days.

If I say something that she considers incredulous, like, “Grandma Nicky drank a bottle of champagne, all to herself”, my granddaughter will say, “Get out of town!” or, “Shut the front door!”
Whereas her dad, (my son), will say, “You’re having a Turkish, surely?”
