shutdown instead of sleep?

I'm kind of confused. Do you not have a shutdown option? I thought shutdown was a standard default that couldn't be "hidden" unlike sleep or hibernate.

Er shutdown would be the obvious answer :). If you are pressing the power button and it is set to sleep in windows then it will goto sleep rather than shutdown but that can be changed.

Or just go into power options -> choose what the power button does -> change settings that are currently unavailable and then untick fast start-up.

Sorry i didn't make myself very clears here.
My Pc will not recover from sleep mode ones overclocked, so i am looking for a way to make my pc Shutdown after 1hr of inactivate instead of speed.

right now i have made a command prompt shortcut to Shutdown after 2hr's but that will Shutdown the pc no matter whats going on, even half was into game of thrones lol...

is this issue present with your OC turned off? just wondering if you could fix this by tweaking your OC settings

nope its fine when not overclocked.

i am doing blck overclocking and i know it makes a few systems on the PC not work as they should but i didnt know sleep one be one of them.
the system will 50/50 enter sleep mode, some time it just stays on. and it will never recover from speed. ever with a 100mhz oc. the second i crank the base clock
