Shutdown - Not shutting down ?

Any advice here ?

After clicking shutdown in Windows, windows shuts it self down - Good

But, the computer will not shutdown - i.e all system fans,pumps,lights etc. keep running - Not good

Faulty mobo ?

Vista x64 , but i'm sure its a hardware problem.

Or it could be a driver problem. I had the same with my Windows 7 x64, would stall on shutdown for about 15mins then throw a BSOD at me.

Has it always done this since install or just started happening?

Also do you have another OS on a bootable DVD/memory stick (Knoppix, Windows PE etc) that you can test to see if it has the same problem to try to isolate whether its driver related?
