Nice app sandeep, very useful, just the timed shutdown is what i'm interested in on this app, thank you :).
I would make a contribution right now but I'm flat broke at the moment after getting supplies for my new project, it'll be used regular though so I will remember when I have some spare ;).

Thanks waynio, can I ask if you have tried using v2.7, which is the pre-alpha I have put up a few posts back or are you using the current v2.5?

Shutdown Timer Pre Release v2 is up for everyone to download.

Changes are:

- Added configuration file

Hey guys,

Sorry this hasn't been updated for a long time now.

I've been caught up in other things and I've got a product which can be checked out.

There are still a heck of a lot of bugs and I am trying my best to fix them and get this version working as it should.

I have compiled a 32/64 Bit version for testing purposes to see if you guys like or don't like anything. Just let me know.

Both 32 and 64 Bit versions are in one rar file.

Let me know what you think

Following on what a lot of users had said, I had decided to redesign and code the project again, and I have come up with something which could be classed as better than the previous version.

There are still things I need to get doing, such as validation etc. but they will be put in the next version.

Please help by spotting bugs and let me know what you think of this update.

Thanks.

32 Bit Version

64 Bit Version

Let me know how it goes for you, once I get the information I'll package it ready for the final release :D

Working ok so far (64bit) :)

One thing which would make it nicer for me to use would be a "Shut down in X minutes" drop down menu. So basically a list of times to shut down in, 1 minutes, 2 minutes, 4 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes etc.. I know you can easily set the time to shutdown by setting the time but this would be great addition for lazy people :p

Just had a crash as I was flicking through the network adaptors:

Thanks for the info, My answer to your question is..just don't be lazy it's not a good thing :)

As for the crash, I have found the problem and will be fixed in the next build.

Just curious is there a standalone client option? I personally love utils that don't require to be installed and are portable - this is something that'd be extremely useful if it could be portable like that :) My fav utils (startup control panel / spacesniffer) have always been no-installs to work :) Keep up the good work mate it looks fab.

Hi,

Yes the application is available as a portable version from day one.

The current beta you see a few posts above is portable to run right now since I don't want Beta software installed.

But I can guarantee that the Final version of 3.0 will be portable.

Shutdown Timer 3.0.8 has been released.
