Shutdown

hi really confused I just got a new computer (2 days old) and it won't shut down!!! I've tried the normal start menu, red turn off button and doing it through task manager but they just don't respond (Windows xp). Everything else works fine. Any ideas???

Bios Power options or Windows power management. Look there should sort.

Had a look at the windows power management but can't see anything wrong?

Are you sure you haven't got ALWAYS ON selected in power options instead of home/office desk.

yeah it is but when I try to press to save the settings it says 'indicates two revision levels are incompatible'??????? and reverts back to max battery
