my pc shut down today after running prime95 for 1hour.

it has a stock cpu cooler with no overclock. i was curoius as to how hot it would get.

my cpu was runnkng around 59c when it went off (AMD x3 8450)

i tried to start it again and the fans kicked to life yet the pc wouldn't boot up.

i turned it off and on again and it sprang to life.

was this due to the heat in my cpu or is it possible my PSU is not very weel too?

is this cpu fan any good?

arctic cooler freezer 64

i have limited room in my case so the smaller the better really

thanks guys, the hardware is as follows

AMD x3 8450
GF8100V-M5
GeForce 7300GS
the PSU is a HIPRO model HP-D3057F3P

i have a tsst cd/dvd rw
a dvr 216-r
an IDE HDD
and a sata HDD
+ 1 x 92mm case fan

is this too much for this psu?

i ran the prime95 test again, and my pc shut down again...

i reckon my psu can'yt hack it.

i uses the power supply calculator and came out with 324W which is more than my psu can put out.

i forgot to add i have a wirelss n pci card installed along with a couple of usb devices...

a new psu is on the cards... what;s a goos one on a budget?

i'll be needing at least 2 x sata connections preferably 3

thanks
