shutdowns not good

hi
about a week ago my pc now and then will just lose power for no reason.

It's done it it when i've been online surfing, when mum's been playing card games, no nothing is really being taxed, so any ideas?

All power connections are firmly in so i wouldn't have thought it be a lose connection to the sockets and i'm stummped!

Specs are:
PSU is a 600W OCZ modstream X
Phenom II 955
GA-MA790FXT-UD5P
HD4850
2HDD's (sata)
2 Optical (sata)
8GB RAM

What did the temps say ?
How old is the PSU ?

PSU is less than 6months old
temps are fine 30deg on CPU
think i've narrowed it down to either HDD or PSU, as they seam the next area to look into

The HDD would'nt cause the PC to shutdown it would just blue screen if it was the system disk.

Try a different Lead from PSU to socket and also Try a different Socket.

Just 2 alternatives before looking at the PC directly

have tried different socket on PSU and been up for around 20mins so far so good.
