Shutter Island & Inception music

Has anyone noticed the similarity of it in some parts and in a couple I'm pretty sure is exactly the same. The scene were Dom and Ariadne wash up onto the beach together when they are in his limbo, has very if not identical music that is in Shutter Island.

I've also heard the music from Shutter Island in a TV program recently but I can't remember what it was.


The music for both films was by different people though.


Anyone get what I mean, or am I imagining it. :confused:
 
I think you're imagining it. But I can't really remember the shutter island music that well so I might be wrong. :p
 
I think you may be right.

My flatmate bought Shutter Island yesterday and was watching it in his room quite loudly.
I walked passed and didn't know what he was watching, but I could hear part of the music and it sounded very much like the main title track to Inception with the big build up. I thought maybe he'd downloaded Inception or something!

It was only later that he said he's been out and bought Shutter Island that morning and had been watching it.

I got round to watching Shutter Island at the weekend and myself, brother and mate all thought it was the exact same music too so you are not alone in that.
