I'm thinking of getting a new system soon and I want to use the parts I have in my current case to create a shuttle/small pc for general file storage and maybe running World of Warcraft every so often. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on the type of shuttle to get? I have heard that some makes of shuttle style computers are a no=go and I want to avoid getting something which will cause problems.

I am expecting to put the following components in it:

P4 478 3.2ghz(prescott) processor (failing that - a P4 2.8ghz processor)
1gb Crucial ballistix DDR3200
250gb HDD
DVD/RW
ATI Radeon X850 pro

I would prefer an actual shuttle made computer, but I have heard good things about some Aopen systems too.

Anyway, thanks in advance!

after my one and only attempt at building a shuttle system make sure there is space for the gfx card/sound card etc to fit, tried the case i got and the cooler on the gfx card was too big for the position of the card slot :(.

Yeah, I've come across that problem before with customer's shuttles. Theres no way my gfx card would fit a shuttle without some case modifications. Just wanna know which model/make people would recommend

I'm not really bothered about future proofing...as long as it can run world of warcraft and has ample storage space I will be happy. Its just something I want to take into work with me on quiet days to play WoW or watch videos :D

Make yourself a briefcase mod with those old bits for the ultimate sneaking into the office case!

PK!
