Shuttle K45, best CPU ?

After my disappointment with the Atom 230 board, I'm looking at what was my second best choice, the K45.

I'm looking for a fairly low power CPU, something in the range of the Atom would be enough. What I would like is one that runs very cool, or one that had a large range of speedstep notches so it runs slow at idle...

Otherwise, are the K45 users around here happy ?

have you looked into any of the VIA motherboards. Something like a VIA 10000. Not as powerful as the atom, but can be picked up very cheap.
