Hi

I've recently purchased a Shuttle K45 barebones system together with an E1200 dual-core Celeron CPU and a PicoPSU-90 (with 80 W brick) but am a little worried that 80W will not be sufficient for the components inside.

The set up consists of the following:

Shuttle K45
E1200 Celeron Dual-Core
160GB 7200rpm 3.5" Hard Drive
D-Link wireless network card
9.2mm Case fan

Additionally there will be a Bluetooth USB dongle, a USB Keyboard and possibly an external (bus or self-powered) DVD-RW attached to the system.

Will an 80W power brick attached to the 90 PicoPSU be sufficient for the system or should I return both and get a PicoPSU-120 with a higher wattage adapter?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Travis,

I run an e7200, intel flycreek ITX mobo, 4gb ddr2, 3.5" sata hdd, laptop dvdrw drive and a couple of USB items on a 120w pico psu with 100w power brick.

System idles at just over 60w and loads up at just over 80w.

To be safe i'd recommend the 120w pico plus a beefier power block.
