oh and are these clocks with that wierd stock cooler if not what coolers are you using and have you done any case mods to keep temps down

cheers

also i was wondering if the 350W PSU will cope with 2gb of ram an X2 3800 and a 7900Gt and how did you guys get high end geforce 7 cards in there as there is no power to the card

i removed the fan duct but only because i didnt like the way i had to bend over the power cable for the gfx card, it does fit with it i just didnt like it.

luckily my my 7800gt only had a std molex connector so i just used a splitter, you would need to use some sort of adaptor to use one that comes with the 6 pin pci-e.

as for the psu I have had an operton [email protected] in it @1.5v + 3 hhd's (1 raptor) 7800GT for a few weeks (the processor was not mine i was testing it ;) ) and it didnt seem to grumble.

As for the cooler the board reports stupidly low temps 25c idle and 42c load,

The fans are loud on full but i use them on 50-60% for the best balance of cooling and noise.

thanks but how would i get around the problem with power to the graphics card as the connector on the graphics card is male so is the pci-e connector on the power supply oh and do you know if the shuttle uses an 'eps' style power supply

cheers

I have a molex to pci-e cable, iirc they generally come with pci-e cards.

I have a very similar setup to what you're asking about, X2 3800, 2gb, x1900xt, 2hdds etc.. works fine.

thanks for the reply but what im getting at is that the power supply only has two extra molex power connector so you can run a graphics card off that and nothing else thats whay i want to use the pci-e power cable but it is the same gender as the one on the graphics card so im looking to upgrade the power supply to get more connectors and the correct pci-e cable

oh and can you tell me what connectors their is on the power suplly

I don't really understand the problem, you can daisychain molexes easy, iirc there's 3 sata and 2 molex off the psu but using splitters etc you can easily get enough lines.

You won't upgrade the psu without going external.. end of story.
