Ive had my shuttle sn45g for a while now with a radeon 9600 card.

I dont play any games anymore so the card is ok for me.

Does anyone know the best graphics card that will run on the shuttle sn45g without needing to be powered by the PSU ?

Thanks

I used to run a 9800Pro off a 200W Achme PSU in a SN41G2. Also tested the 200W PSU with a 6800LE unlocked, but switched back to the 250W PSU as it seemed very slightly quieter.

I think some of the newer cards, like 7600GS and GT might draw less wattage than the two mentioned above, so shouldn't be an issue.

Edit: Some links with figures
9800Pro 31W idle, 47 burn. Same page 6800 17W idle, 39W burn.
7600GT (probably PCIe) 36W peak. So a GS version should be less if you look around the site.

if your psu is made by enhance then you will have problems powering a card, but if its made by achme (more than likely) then it will power anything you can throw at it. ive ran a 9800pro, 9800Xt and x800pro off one before with no problems :)

the achme psu is very well made. tbh pretty much all the psu's from all shuttles are *** same except for the few 45G's that had the enhance one

Thanks for all the replys. The psu is made by enhance.

Looks like i may as well stick to my radeon 9600 as it doeas what i need.
