Hi,
I'm thinking about upgrading my AMD 3400+ Shuttle 85G42 to a more up-to-date small form factor PC. Because I'm used to dealing with Shuttle PCs I was thinking about getting an SX48P2 and throwing in either a E8400 or a Q9550 (I like to game but I also like to multi-task). Not sure about the graphics card - I guess it depends on what will fit in there, but I'd prefer something that could run Fallout 3 at 1920x1200 with relative ease.
Thing is though; are Shuttle PCs still noisy little hot-boxes? If they are, can anyone recommend a quiet, easy-to-build small form PC that isn't a Shuttle?
I'm looking to spend no more than £750 on the system (excluding OS and monitor).
Speaking of the Shuttle XPC SX48P2, can anyone confirm what the difference between the 'E' and 'Deluxe' versions is, aside from the price? To my tired old eyes they both seem to be the same...but I'm probably missing some obvious difference!
Cheers
