What do people think about this barebones setup? I haven't played with a SFF in a good few years and looking forward to trying one out. I'll be running it with a Intel 6320/7900 GS for the time being - but I gather the 400w psu is up to the job!

Thanks for the reply - I've actually already ordered the 37P2, this model seems to suit my requirements perfectly well although in retrospect if I had done my research I would have probably gone with the 39P2 instead. :D

But I'm glad you say that your ones seem nippy - I'll only be uisng a cheap cpu in mine, so hope to get 2.2ish out of it without generating too much heat and noise.

Do you know if these would handle a 8800?

I downloaded XPC Tools from the Shuttle website, it gives better control over fans and temperatures. A very useful utility.

That's a very interesting point to know - I wouldn't have known about it! Thanks!

What's the onboard sound like by the way? I know a third party solution would be better, but I'm now in the unfortunate poosition where I can't install a card - DOH :( I haven't got any speakers either but I'm thinking ahead.

The sound seems OK to me, it's more than adequate for my use, audiophiles would doubtless disagree though.

It's a Realtek chip and offers several speaker outputs, although I am just running mine to the speakers in my monitor.

Okay it's as I expected then. I'll make do and if I like it I can always upgrade in due course. Looking forward to getting my kit tomorrow haven't played with one of these in years. Be interesting to see how they've improved. Thanks again.
