Shuttle XPC SP35P2 Pro Black Barebones System Intel Core 2 Duo/Quad Graphics probs

What is the best GFX card i can fit into this system because the winfast 8800GT ZL that i bought will not run...Ive rma'd it back because i thought it was a faulty card but they said it was fine and have returned it......so i am looking for another card to replace it

That system can easily fit an 8800gt/gts or ATI 3870! I have even put an 8800gt in the smaller G series shuttle which worked fine!

What happened when you installed the card? no post??

it just boots up and no post...blank screen ...i am gonna get a 3870 and see if that works

What BIOS version are you using?

I know a of a fair few people running 8800GTX's without problems. I am using a 8800GTS 640mb in mine problem free so I will be suprised if its a power issue.

What happens EXACTLY when you press the power button? Some of the very first SP35P2s had a borked BIOS on delivery, so it may well be a BIOS issue.

Yeah the shuttle works fine with my 7900gt . . When i first set the comp up it worked with that card but the fan wasnt working properly it was making a wierd noise . . And it kept shutting down . . . So i took the card out and had a look at the fan and it was catching on one of the fins so i sorted that and got it spinning without it making a racket . . . . I put the card back in but it would just boot into a blank screen and hang there . . . So i returned the card assuming it was knackered but they say the card is ok
