Hey all,

Can someone please point me in the right direction for a 2 x 1Gb 800mhz 6400 Memory for the above shuttle I will be purchasing soon. Must be from OCUK and fairly cheap but good quality ram that will work with no fuss, ive heard shuttles can be funny about the memory they use.

So in essence a 2gb kit that wont make the shuttle play up ;-). Cheers in advance.

Thanks for that reply...

I checked the shuttle site but cant seem to match their recommended ram with whats being sold at OCUK, This post was more for those that have either had a SP35P2 or still have one and have memeory that works without issue. Im not interested in overclocking, jus want nice safe ram that works out the box.

Oh now you got me thinking.....I just bought the bundled shuttle and Corsair memory without even thinking about compatibility.

I am really sory to hear that mate, Have you tried just using one stick of ram to make sure its not the ram thats dodgy?

Let us know, have you informed OCUK.

I too have a problem with the bundle I just bought from OC. The machine won't go past the "Shuttle" splash screen.

Checked compatability against the shuttle site and everything looks ok apart from the GPU which isn't listed, but it's the one that OC included in the bundle.

Will attempt to call OC tomorrow. Not happy. I have been at this for hours and tried everything I can think of.

I have to get this machine built soon though as it's for my cousin's little boy's Christmas.

Isn't this all you need to know:

Memory support
4 x 240 pin slots, supports Dual Channel
supports DDR2-667/800 SDRAM memory
(DDR2-1066 in overclocking mode*)
max. 2 GB per DIMM, up to a total size of 8 GB

No, because Shuttles are known for being really bad for rejecting certain types of RAM, so its better to be safe than sorry.

Had the same problem, it is a problem with the CPU compatibility. The BIOS version is probably an older version and doesnt support the new CPU. I had to get an older CPU, flash the BIOS and pop in the new one (E7300). Working away nicely now.

Thought id post this as others might read it and find the solution (comes up in google search).
