I notice all but the most expensive Shuttles only have a 250W PSU. Would this be enough to power a Radeon 3870?

This is the kit I'm intending to get:

Its going to be used with a 720p TV as a general media centre and to play games that would be better suited to a gamepad and sofa (GTA, GH3 and the like).

I beleive that you'd have no problems with power, the 3870's are pretty good in that respect and the Shuttle's psu can handle itself well above its rated output. check on here you'll see many builds using heavily overclocked systems - 8800 series cards and all without issue.

I do think it might be pushing it slightly.

You could always try it, see if it works, and if not send it back under the DSR's and get the HD 3850 Pro instead.

I used an 8800gt and Quad @3ghz with my shuttle 250w and it was ok, but sys temps were an issue so I swapped the quad for a e6750.

You can easily upgrade to the PC50 (300w) but it is pricey, £65 approx

PS dont expect to overclock that E6750 in the SG31G2 at present you can only clock 200/266fsb E2/4/6000 cpus
