o2 are a pain in the neck. They keep charging me for calls that should be free on my tarrif, I keep getting spikes in calls where everything screams and at least twice now I have had crossed lines (surely that should be impossible?).

And their customer service is absolute ****.

Problem is, I'm eight months into a 18 month contract. If I bail am I liable to pay the remaining months or can I get away with 30 days notice?

You can end your contract early, but you are liable for remaining line rental. You will not get away with just giving them 30 days notice as the network will need to recover the costs of the handset that you were given as part of the contract.

If you speak to them they will terminate your contract early, or give you a PAC code if you request one. They will then bill you at a later date for the full remaining sum of your outstanding contract.

I personally really like O2 and have never had any problems with their customer service. Always found them really helpful actually.

Hope this helps.
