Ok so my internet usually files along (well its fast for me) at around 10meg but I keep getting random disconnects, some days it doesn't happen other days it happens frequently
When it drops the internet it drops the voice call too. When this happens the noise margin drops drastically from 8+ down as low as 1 right before the disconnect.

Sky keep trying to fob me off with excuses and i'm sick of it, clearly there is something wrong with my line but every call is like pulling teeth to get to level 2.
If anyone has a direct number to level 2 it'd be appreciated, also i've seen other threads on here with people with similar problems yet I can't seem to find anything about what resolved the problem
On hold with them now, but i'm not holding my breath.

Go on the sky official forum, and get one of their people involved. They can investigate the problem. Sky BB phone support is a waste of time.

Spoke to level 2 just now and it disconnected twice while she was on the phone so she's getting an engineer out tomorrow morning, hopefully its one of the guys i know!

Ok so bt guy was here today, he fitted another new pre filtered faceplate, and said that while it was passing all the tests there was one of his tests throwing back a few errors. It turns out there was a fault at where the phone lines enter our street but it's all fixed now, downstream attenuation went from 38db to 29db now! so will give it a few days then phone sky and say "more speed mr sulu"
Engineer also said that in March they will be starting to roll out the fibre optic cable to each street from the exchange, so it will only be from the streets main join to my house that will be copper, and since i'm the 4th house in the row i'm expecting good things! Will be one of the first towns in this area to get this fibre optic cable roll out, he said we will be faster than large parts of aberdeen too!
