Wow has anyone else seen this film? Its amazing at how screwed up the American health system is! Even the UK puts it to shame.

It's so sad that people can't afford to pay the outrageous bills in America, and that their health insurers are constantly trying to screw them out of their policies.

Ah yeah, i remember this... caused quite a stir in the pharmaceutical industry when he was researching / filming this.

Will be one to catch i think

50% of bankrupcy is due to medical bills in US

I watched this film today and, whilst it was obviously severely polarised and had the typical "america sucks" vibe about it, it still made some very good points.

If any of you have any gripes with the NHS, I would strongly suggest watching this film.

Has anyone ever had a car accident and been appauled that your insurer wouldn't pay out before of a minor non-disclosure? Imagine if it was your heart that was the problem and not your front bumper.

I agree Moore twists a lot of the information he puts in his movies and books but after watching this movie im glad we have an NHS, even though everyone always dumps on it.

I got ill when I was over in America and passed out on the way to hospital, when they brought my round the very first thing they waved me at me was a charge consent form and asked for payment. We're very lucky with the NHS (or being able to afford insurance abroad).

Moore is the lowest of low, however I'm actually watching this film right now and up to the part with the black guy who died of Kidney cancer when a Bone Marrow treatment might have helped him and its unbelievable. Just very shocking...

MY (limited) ecperience of the US healthcare system makes me want to move there.

My sis in law went to doc as she didn't feel quite right. Doc sent her for tests the same day. Within 3 days she was operated on for bowel cancer. Life saved.

I've seen several people in the UK who had to wait so long for ops it became inoperable. Life not saved.

I believe in Scrubs and ER.... NO ONE WILL RUIN THIS PARADISE FOR ME!

And every hospital has a 'Gregory House' to save your life when every other doctor fails! Dont make me let go of my fantasy!

It's great if you can afford it. So is private treatment here.

If House was British series about NHS the main character would be rude doctor Patel with broken english, stetoscope on his neck used purely as fashion token trying to cure patients with prescriptions for overpriced paracetamol in machine downstairs and elastic bandage from emergency cupboard. In each episode instead of solving hard cases with help of state of the art equipment and saving lives by dozen Dr. Patel would heroically escape his own demise by not getting in contact with lethaly ill patient on the other side of the table and not inducing additional MRSA onto entire hospital wing in the processs.

If Michael Moore was British he would show you a movie about dentists spreading HIV via dirty equipment used on multiple patients, women with bidet bowls sawn inside them after C section followed by Dr. Shipman's house visit diaries. He's that kind of muppet and he lives quite well off his muppetry.

US system might be unforgiving to medical tourists and people without any medical insurance, but when it works it works on levels never ever experienced within NHS
