Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth Benchmark

Gives me a reason to upgrade if i do. :p

Nah i tried once to get it at 5Ghz with silly voltage, didn't work so gave up. Settled for 4.9.

Volts can work against you... lol.

I need 1.55v for 5.2, doesnt that put things in perspective maybe? haha, what you putting through it at 4.9?

Careful Matt, if its needing an extra 160mv just for another 200Mhz the chances are its power requirements are already off the scale at that, if you keep pushing it you could blow the VRM's or burn the chip.

worst chip i have ever heard of in my life rofl. What you running for 24/7?

24/7 is 4.4Ghz at 1.35v. :)

EDIT

I'm not worried if it dies bug, will just replace it with a better one. It spends most of its life at the above though.

Send me a couple of yours and ill make good use of them :o:p

I need all 11 of them, believe it or not. Actually I've got a HD7770 doing nothing. :p

I plan to keep my 4x4gb 290X cards so i can run some comparisons of 4gb vs 8gb at 4K maximum settings in a few different titles. I think the results might surprise a few.

I run couple of cpu tests on my setup, and what I found odd is I get exactly same average fps when I run my cpu at 3.6GHz or 4.4GHz. Only thing that happens is graph gets more spiky (both ways) at 3.6GHz. Quess my gpu just doesn't have enough grunt to make the bench cpu bound.

Are you sure you are getting full gpu utilisation? As you say it isn't cpu bound so your 7970 ought to be ahead of my 7950 in both avg and minimums.

Yes, I did have full gpu utilization. Your 7950 clocks quite good, so I quess that's where you get the advantage. My 90 is from first batch, so it's not GHz edition. Also using win7, maybe that makes some difference aswell. But even if bench itself ain't cpu bound on this card, the game itself is. What this bench doesn't simulate well, is when player moves view around the world instantly.
