Just added a second gtx 670 wf for sli. In game one card is hitting 75c, other in the high 50's, stock auto fan setting. At idle they read 29c and 24c respectively. Would cutting the side panel to fit a fan help with cooling much? Ill also have a play about with custom fan profiles to see if it lowers things a bit

No space unfortunately as my audio card and the two gpu's block all other pci slots. Gonna see if i can somehow bodge mount a fan set to exhaust on the outside of the case between the cards.

Not on water yet setter? You're missing out!
Not as yet, would be very expensive on this setup to do both cards and cpu. If i was still on a single gpu, doing the cpu itself wouldnt be too bad as the wf cards in a single config dont run hot or loud enough to require liquid cooling.

then adding a 140mm side fan does help a lot, but have u considered getting a better air flow in ur system first?
Will have to look into that, regarding airflow, unfortunately the bitfenix shinobi xl has extremely poor air airflow intake due to it's front panel design.
