Side panel resonating

I just bought a Gigabyte Aurora and its my first aluminium case. I always thought steel cases were just way too heavy and now I know its a good thing that its heavy! My side panel is quite thin aluminium and with 4 120mm fans in the case the damn thing vibrates so much theres a very noticable humming sound.

Whats the best way to reduce the vibration besides sticking my hand there?

mine did that once, right in the corner by the hard drive bays, i just gave it a 'light tap' and it hasnt done it since.

You could get some sound deadening material, like Akasa Paxmate or you could even use the stuff they use in cars like Dynamat Extreme.

Blue tack.

But small amounts strategically placed, or use broken elastic bands to act as a buffer to the side panel.

are youusing the delta fan by any chance ....you could lower the rpm of the fan

If I was using a Delta I wouldn't notice the side panel resonating

Gonna give the blue tack idea a go since I don't have money left to get some sound proofing material!

There was a thread knocking about on aluminium cases resonating, dont know if it has been pruned though.
