I have a XCLIO 380PLUS case and i am thinking about actually making a new side window with hole/s for either 12cm or 20cm fan/s instead of the 36cm has atm which will allow me to use thinner fan and i may position a bit different and thus have better access to CPU coolers since the depth of the current fan cuts back on tower coolers i can use, i was jus wondering if there are any specific acrylic's or anythin i need to use... would polycarbonate be alright cos its better quality (really good sound insulator perfectly clear and reflects light beaut) or should i stick to acrylic? btw not buying whole new side panel because with this case if u google it u will see side panel is rather special in carrying on design of front of case...

Also give your opinion on what fan layout i should use?.. i was thinking either; 3 80mm fans lining horizontally in line with CPU and a 12cm fan lined up with graphics card OR 2 12cm fans lined with CPU and one with graphics card OR 3 80mm's with CPU and 2 with graphics card OR only the 3 80mm's or 2 12cm's... or finally i was thinkin having 3 80mm fans vertically lined nearing back of the panel... what you guys think or what are your idea's?? heres what working with.. jus ignore the big current fan =]

Why would you want to use 80mm fans on the side?

120mm fans push more air and make less noise, so i would go with those.

Also, i think it will be very fifficult to make a new side window for that case because of the shape of the turbine at the front, but if you enjoy a challenge i say go for it.

for looks really, would fit 3 80mm's side ways or down which i thought would look better than 2 120's... i could use a 3rd i gues and just place it so blows into drive cage.. and then have the fourth one at the bottom over graphics card =] know any good thin silent 120's??? and it shouldn't be too hard.. jus need to cut the perspex to 165 X 165 and then drill all the holes to match the ones in the mettle plate already have =] the window it comes with actually is cut around the shape of the turbine bit which i dont get because its flat on the inside... im just going to leave it square and drill holes to allow the screws holdin it on to not be holding up my window... also i am going to need a fan controller that doesn't use knobs because of the front door =/ hmm
