Sidebar in wordpress

Is it possible to have the sidebar in wordpress auto follow the edge of the broswer so I can design a full window themed blog?

I couldn't give you an authoritative answer, but seeing as so much of the layout is governed by the CSS, I'd say it was perfectly possible, yes

You can do anything that's possible with CSS so the answer is yes.
Not sure why you'd want a full width blog though. Text is most easily read at a specific width. I can't recall the exact number of characters but it's around 500px. Anything considerably wider becomes more difficult to follow.

Its for photography so I want to display the image comfortably at 800px wide which at the moment it spills over the sidebar.
