sidewinder x4

hey all, I've recently bought a Microsoft sidewinder x4 keyboard and am having a problem using it in my mobo bios. i can use it to enter bios with the del key but as soon as bios loads up the kb no longer works, I've used a ps2 kb to check that usb kb setting is enabled which it is. does anyone else have this issue or know how it can be solved

mobo is Gigabyte GA-790FXTA-UD5

What USB ports do you have it connected to? Tried the USB 2.0 ones?

ive tried all the ports, ive also tried my old usb kb which still works in the bios

Some modern gaming keyboards / mice have problems with bioses. these get resolved via bios updates. worth a check, or getting an el cheapo just for the bios.

think ill go with ps2 kb for bios saves me any hassle
