Hey,

Does anyone have one these in their home that could me prevent my hair from moulting any further?

The thing is driving me bonkers trying to set the automated times and temps! :o

Thanks

We have the RF version of the RDJ10, it's terrible. You can only set 2 time periods within the day (00:01 to 23:59) to have heat, so you end up in a situation where you cannot have heating on beyond 23:59.

Incidentally we have the REV200-RF on order, then will be getting a smart thermostat (e.g. ecobee)

Please can you answer me this as its doing my head in :o

If I set the first programme to run between 6 and 7 in the morning after the programme has run it will set itself to the energy sabving temp and maintain that temp for the rest of the day!

All I want to do is set it to come on between 6 and 7, and then go off for the rest of the day and what temp settings does it use during the set period please? The instructions arent clear at all

there are two temp settings, T sun icon and the energy saving temps t moon (I think that is the right way round)

Just set the enegy saving temp really low so it will never come on.

Thanks yeah thats what I thought but when its set to auto the sun icon temp doesnt kick in during the programmed time period it seems to just want to set it to the energy saving temps all the time so when the programmed time period kicks in it sets the temp to whatever the energey saving temp is set to which means no heat comes on

The minimum energy saving temp will probably be 3C to prevent frost damage, but that's no bad thing.

Does the icon change when it should?

If so, have you checked that the set temp and reduced temp are actually set to 20C and 3C for example?

Yeah when I was testing it last night, it came on this morning but when it came on it defaulted to that temp and when the program finished it then continued to try and maintain that temp instead of shutting off

What I'm tring to understand now is when its set to auto is it supposed to use the comfort setting when the programme time kicks in and then default back to economy when the programme is complete because I'm sure I tried that last night and it didnt work

We have it set low enough to not trigger constantly, but be enough to give some heat if it is really cold (e.g. like now) and have it set to "RUN" and on auto. The "lower" temp is not necessarily for frost protection, it's more to ensure the ambient temp never gets too cold in winter, which is why it is actually quite useful to have it set to say 18 or so.

Like I said however, the thermostat IMO is crap.
