'Sigh' Another CS source, problem

Howdy,
Just recently, over the last week or so ive had been having a small but very irritating problem. What it is: After about 45mins to an hour of playing CS (without any problems) the screen freezes for about 4-5 seconds then CS will close all together. I can reconnect fine and play for another 45 mins or so then the same thing will happen!

Has any one got any ideas why this is happing or solutions???

What are the temps? You can still overheat with the side of the case off you know. Does sound like a heat issue, though could be software.

Got all the latest drivers / directx etc?

more likely to be hotter with the side panel off considering theres no airflow with it off

Very much dowt it, pc used to crash all the time with it on, the pc has very poor airflow and no case fans.

If you use x-fire try turning it off, its been making afew of my games crash for some reason including c:ss/sof2 :x

I get this when the fan kicks in on the gfx card, locks for about 5 secs. :confused:

Same happens to me, sometimes crashes, think it's update bug :\

Just lock the fan speed so its suitable cooling for playing games, that way you get no fan speed shifts/lockups

Step1: install fan to gfx card - you may say ice cold but have you actually checked the gpu temp?

Step2: uninstall cs

problem solved

*note* if you cant take a joke ignore step2, i once played it myself, lots.

Right, well is there any 'Free' software that will check the temps of my pc then ?? To see if it is actally heat related. TY
