Sigma 1.4 TC and Nikkor 18-70mm compatibility?

Just been asked this question, but as I don't have the 18-70mm Nikkor (D70 kit lens), I can't answer it. Anyone know either wy?

Probably not from the looks of the sigma site. Though its worth testing with yours just to see. Seems a bit mad wanting to increase an 18-70 by 1.4x, why not just get a propper telephoto lens?

I very much doubt it im afraid. Besides, 1.4 x 70 is only 98mm (call it 100). It isn't really worth it mate.

Oh also also, if it does infact fit, it will reduce you minimum apperture which is a pain.

Not for me

I've got the 1.4* TC for sale in the MM.....been asked if it fits that particular lens. Having a D50, I have packed away my kit 18-55mm, and use the rather gorgeous Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 myself. Don't have the 18-70mm Nikon lens myself.
