Hi all

I have the above lens, and I was wondering if anyone had tried this with either or both of the Sigma 1.4 and 2x teleconverters?

Should it work ok?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers! :)

Looks like im saving for the 180mm version then :(

Tis a good lens, i was recently looking at both that and the 150mm for mum to use with her D70, we (I) decided on the 150mm in the end and its a stunning lens, the photos are so incredibly sharp its well worth the money. I imported it from urgalaxy in hong kong so it was a very favourable price too :)

Shame i moved 250miles away after it arrived, i cant just pop round and pinch it when shes out anymore!

There is a review of the Tamron, Sigma and Canon 180mm macro lenses....the Tamron actually scores slightly better than both the Sigma and the Canon.

Ummm, a lot of people do use their Macro as a mid-length telephoto....and often they do tend to be the fastest, best quality lens that someone has in their bag.

You read AP too then? :) From the review there doesnt really seem to be much to chose between them. I was going to go for the Sigma due to the lower focusing noise and the fact that from HK its over £100 cheaper. :)
