sigma 24-70

this was advertised as a 24-70 ex dg macro
sigma 24-70 fleabay of course !! turns out to be a 24-70 ex dg aspherical df. if it was macro would it have a seperate switch on the lens for macro capability ??? so far have taken around 100 shots & am quite happy with it. cant find a price new for it on t'internet new, any1 help with this ??
also i've read about sigma lens suffering from front focusing, how would i spot this ??

I don't understand? You want to know if there's a switch on the lens to turn on macro? There isn't. It's not a true macro lens, but it's min focal distance is quite short.
