the new sigma 24-70 Art price should be announced in the next few days

anyone else thinking of getting it over the canon version?

i agree, and will wait for reviews .

i have really been liking the ART range and hoping this will be as good as my primes.

Rumour is Canon making a IS version to update their 24-70 next. I am not a fan of the mk2, I prefer the mk1 where the barrel zooms inside the hood.

a few people have mentioned they dont like the way the mk2 zooms

but every review i have read says the mk2 is an improvment over the mk1 image quality (barrel zoom aside)

i was going to get the mk2 and then saw news of the sigma, so might wait to see what its like
